Book Review #22 -The Architecture of Happiness by Alain de Bolton

Florence, Italy
Its been a while, a lot has happened since my last post (it will be almost a year, I think..). Currently, I'm in Florence, Italy getting my further study for my bachelor course back in the Philippines. Also this is the reason why I didn't post much last year, because I was to busy preparing for this trip that it took all my energy and emotions just to be able to make this work and be here in Italy and living my dream to be able to experience even just once in my life to study abroad. Now that I'm here it felt so surreal.

Anyway back to my come back book review after a year! A little personal story about this book, This is actually the only physical book that I was able to bring from the Philippines. Because I needed to bring other things needed for my 1 year stay here in Italy, that is why there weren't any pace left for my other books *emotional* but anyway its a good thing also for me. So that I can discover more books here in Italy's bookstores and be able to be forced to read and learn Italian books and language.

Every building/structure has its own story to be told...
Beauty is our own interpretation...

Financial Literacy- My Top 3 List of Financial Books for Starters (Philippine Edition)

It has been more than 2 years since I started learning and reading about personal finance. I decided to learn about it because I don't want to just spend my money with things that aren't important and that I want to maximize the potential of my salary/ earnings.

I started my personal finance education journey through personal finance books in Philippine setting so that it would be easier for me to do the recommended actions by the books. After reading more than 5 books on personal finance I have made my own formula or steps in successful money management. Which is SAVE - PROTECT - INVEST, these are the steps that I have followed through the years and it had help me significantly with my financial management.

My next goal before the end of the years is hopefully I will be able to exceed my book percentage record last year of 66 books out of 30 books (220%) that I have promised to read.

Sketching up crazy~!

Its been a long time since my last post. Looking now at my "to-be-reviewed" books now piling up, I need to start my book reviews again as soon as possible before I start missing out on the books. But before that I'm also adding a content for this blog, which is all about my sketch adventures and starting/ wanting to make a profit out of it. Hoping to be able to earn something from my other passion other than reading. Also if time permits, I 'll also add some information on how I'm starting this online business venture.

To start of I'm challenging myself for the rest of the year to hopefully produce some illustrations with 1 item subject inspiration per drawing. Like if I choose a  "cat" for a subject, I will make some sketches with only the cat as the main subject of the piece. So here are some of the illustrations that I made this past months/ few weeks.

Hello to the Year of the Fire Monkey!

http://bookbed.org/2016/02/04/troublesome-oldies/
This marks my very first book review contribution for Bookbed in 2016. Last year, I have contributed a total of 4 book reviews and hoping that this year I can surpass that number.

It has been a great adventure for me last year to be able to meet new people, most especially people who are as crazy and so into books as I am, wanting to promote reading and also give back to our community by book drives.

Wishing for a more fruitful and worth reading year ahead.

Unitl next time,
M
